The program I was in was called the JET Program. It was a government program to place people in Japanese schools. It’s a lot different from the tutoring companies - this was in a real school. Some companies do place people into schools as well. Besides that, I know very little about the other programs. The JET Program is supposed to be more stable, but it’s hard to get in.
Check out Korea’s programs as well - I know there’s a government-sponsored Korean program, but I don’t remember the name of it. If you wanted to apply for the JET Program, you should start working on your entrance documents now - the selection process takes almost a year from applying to landing in Japan.
